Five years ago, The Honey Crafter began in our home kitchen with a simple goal: sharing our honey almond nougat with a few local delis in Port Elizabeth. We loved seeing people enjoy our treats, and that passion kept us growing.
In 2026, we decided it was time for something new. Jess, our lead chocolate maker, and her partner Stefan teamed up to create a line of decadent chocolate-coated dates and almonds.
We don't believe in shortcuts. We lightly toast our almonds over a slow heat to bring out their deepest flavour before hand-dipping them — along with our plump dates — into high-quality Belgian chocolate. Whether you love silky milk, intense dark, or creamy white chocolate, each piece is crafted with care.
To add a personal touch, Jess handwrites every single label. We then tuck these treats into travel-friendly zip-lock bags, so you can snack now and save some for later (if you can resist!). We're so proud of these chocolates and can't wait for you to try them.
